FPL Vibes Prize League Roundup – DECEMBER

Sorry for the lateness of this post folks but we must recognize the excellence of the December winner Johann Bernard with his team Fantastic FC. Johann amassed 375 points during the packed December schedule which contained six gameweeks. His performance for December also marches his team Fantastic FC up to the third spot in the FPL Vibes prize league. The consistent AC Gunners FC is in second place and the top spot is held by Real Skinner Park. Johann has chosen a Barcelona 12/13 – Home – Messi 10- XL jersey for his prize. Let us take a look at Johann’s progress through December.

In Gameweek 15 Johann collected 70 points with high point earners being Michu(16), Van Persie-captain(12), Defoe(13) and Begovic(9). He then sold Sterling to get the ‘Amazing Afro’ Fellaini and in Double GW 16 the points total was a whopping 83. This consisted of  Sessegnon(10), Cuellar(11), Michu(12) and Puncheon(11). Fantastic FC then had a low key Gameweek 17 in comparison to the previous two getting 55 points. The only transfer made was Cuellar out, Bassong in. The notable point earners in this case were Captain Van Persie(24), Walcott(8) and Jaaskelainen(7). For Gameweek 18 Fellaini was sold to get Taraabt in and the point total accrued was 60 points. Big scores came from Ivanovic(12), Sessegnon(9), Captain Van Persie(8) and Huth(7). In Gameweek 19 the Fantastic one got to a steady 57 point total by making two transfers.  Walcott was sold for Mata and Bassong sold for Davies. Mata with 11, Van Persie with 9 and Defoe with 7 kept Johann’s momentum going. For Gameweek 20 Johann made two transfers, out Taraabt in Nolan and out Michu in Walcott. The impressive performers were Walcott(26), Captain Van Persie(12) and Mata(7) and Fantastic FC amassed 58 points to clinch the December honours by 7 points from AC Gunners FC.

We give much respect to Johann as December is a notoriously difficult month to navigate through with the Gameweeks coming fast and furious and player injuries becoming more frequent.  After a break for the FA cup the January BPL schedule has resumed and with 17 Gameweeks to go anyone can cause some damage in the prize league. The table is tight and the only major gap is between the top two and the chasing pack led by Johann(43pts). Hope springs eternal as a January wildcard is available.
