FPL Vibes Prize League Roundup – APRIL

The month of April bring us our first repeat jersey winner as Rene Ribiero with his team BESBRAHN FC wins his second monthly prize in the FPL Vibes Prize League. Having already claimed an Arsenal Wilshire away kit for his January monthly prize, Rene has selected a Brazil Thiago Silva #3 Home kit as his jersey of choice. Congratulations to “Ribs” on his excellent month which also sees him assume pole position in the race for the overall prize with just 3 gameweeks left to play. Special mention as well to Joel Rochard with his Real Skinner Park FC for a stellar month that sees him occupy 2nd place in the Prize League. But let us take a more in-depth look into Rene’s accomplishment.

In gameweek 32, Rene got off to a fairly tepid start amassing just 34 points. Only Benteke (8) and Glen Johnson (8) were significant in a week where many managers found points hard to come by. Gameweek 33 featured double fixtures for 6 EPL teams and Rene made his move playing his wildcard to devastating effect. He amassed a superb 92 points paced by captain Van Persie (32), Baines (12), De Gea (8), Sagna (8), Walcott (7) and Demel (6). This week also saw him regain overall top spot in the prize league.

Gameweek 34 saw Rene make 2 transfers bringing in Lukaku and Michu, clearly with an eye on the upcoming gameweek 36 where both play 2 games. Another strong week saw BESBRAHN earn 84 points paced by a hattrick from captain Van Persie (34), Suarez (11), De Gea (8), Demel (6) and Sagna (6). Going into the final week in April, the race for the jersey was close with no fewer than 5 managers in the mix but Rene obliterated the competition with another monster 86 point week. Gameweek 35 saw him introduce Tevez and captain Bale who contributed a controversial 24pts. He also reaped returns from the likes of Lukaku (15), Yaya Toure (10), Walcott (8), Van Persie (8), Baines (7) and Mariappa (6). This week allowed him to open a clear gap over the competition.

So with 3 gameweeks left in the season, it looks like a two way battle for first prize between BESBRAHN and Real Skinner Park FC as the prize league comes to an exciting climax. There is also an intense battle for the 3rd place prize where at least 6 managers look to have strong shouts but in the Fantasy League anything can happen.

Who will prevail??
